VAYON Core and its four extensions
Vayon AI is one platform with one governed path. VAYON Core is that platform. Four optional extensions add capabilities around it - each one a distinct area of organizational AI, each licensed once for the whole organization. This page says what each one adds, and where each one stops.
What VAYON Core includes
Core is the Enterprise AI Gateway and AI control plane - the governed path itself. Everything below is part of it, in every deployment, before any extension is considered.

Chat & Knowledge
Governed employee chat and organizational knowledge.
- Permission-aware retrieval with citations.
- Knowledge administration, content quality and source access controls.
- Knowledge connectors, file Q&A and answer-quality feedback.
Chat is an extension - Vayon AI itself is a control plane, not a chat product.
Agent Platform
Organizational AI agents under governance - including building them.
- The agent inventory and Agent Studio: design, test, publish and operate an agent.
- Workflows, human-in-the-loop approvals, and resources with explicit operation grants.
- Tools, scheduling, run audit and activity views, and the AI Organization Map.
Agents built elsewhere can be governed through Vayon AI where supported.
Developer AI Governance
AI-assisted development under policy.
- The Developer Portal, IDE and VS Code integration.
- Coding-assistant governance.

The System Gateway and Integration Clients that connect applications remain part of VAYON Core.
Endpoint AI Governance
Governance extended toward endpoints.

How extensions are licensed and delivered
Each extension is licensed once per customer organization and applies across all of the organization's licensed VAYON servers - never per server, never per AI user, never per request. Extensions are part of the product you install rather than separate downloads, so which ones are active is decided by the licence.
Frequently asked questions
Do extensions have to be installed separately?
No. Extensions are part of the product you install, not separate downloads or separate projects. The licence determines which of them are active in your organization, so enabling one is a licensing step rather than an installation project.
Are extensions charged per server or per user?
Neither. Each extension is licensed once per customer organization and applies across all of the organization's licensed VAYON servers. Adding a server never re-charges an extension.
Can we start with Core and add an extension later?
Yes. VAYON Core is the platform; the extensions are optional and independent of each other. Because they ship inside the product, adding one later does not change the deployment you already run.
